IVR

IVR (Interactive Voice Response) is the technology that enables interaction between a caller and a computer via the telephone. Callers can interact with IVR systems by pressing numbers on a telephone keypad or by speaking simple commands to answer the computer’s voice prompts. Common uses of IVR include account balance inquiries, finding store locations and simple caller identification and routing. IVR is a system which automatically manage incoming calls, called Interactive Voice Response (IVR) can link phone callers (voice and/or touchtone) with a computer database. It can accept a question, access the company’s database and provide a caller with the information they are seeking. It can also take information from the caller, convert it to data and input that data to the database.

IVR response automatically when any incoming call comes to the telephony server, the call will transfer to the IVR server then IVR search in IVR client application & IVR server manager for the response and sent back to the telephony server. Interactive Voice Response widely used for automatic call distribution.
